Antique Wardrobe Reloved

This wardrobe came to me bruised and battered. It was structurally sound but the years had worn away its glory.  Underneath the old finish, I saw glimpses of the breathtaking burl veneer on the doors. As I cleaned it I discovered a couple spots where the veneer was worn through but overall it was in tact so I sanded away all the old finish and then I realized that the burl wood had to be the star of the show.  I repaired the deep gouges in the body and painted it black. I left the burl wood natural and sealed it.
*Painted with Wise Owl Black Chalk Synthesis Paint and the raw burl wood was nourished and sealed with Wise Owl Furniture Salve.
