The perfect shade of gray mixed with the warm wood tones and the original handles has created this stunning finish.
This dresser came to us as a solid piece but had missing and peeling veneer. I was able to see all the glorious details and envisioned returning its place of honor. Wise Owl Chalk Synthesis Paint in the color Smokey Quartz was chosen and I mapped out the areas that I wanted to leave wood as a beautiful compliment. As I cleaned up the amazing original hardware, I discovered it was pot metal beneath the finish, so I used Wise Owl Heavy Metal Paint in gold to restore the beauty.
A fun fact about this dresser is that it has large drawers which is unusual for a vintage dresser. Usually you would see 5 layers of drawers in a dresser this size and you can see there are only 4 layers.
